We thank God for the activities accomplished in the last February;
First, we did two workshops for teachers of Sunday school about how they can equip kids with biblical teachings. One took place in Bujumbura town, in Hannah House Family building, the other one in Makamba province. At that time, we met pastors from different churches in MAKAMBA province. We shared about a good leadership in the church. With these two groups, we discussed about the coming soon event of kids games in August 2022. We expect to have more than 5000 kids in this event.
Second, we organized trauma healing games in our clubs in CIBITOKE province. Kids were very happy of it. In the same province, we have an activity of giving a balanced porridge three times in the week.
Third, in Hannah House Family we gave trainings on harm reduction to drug users in the town hall of Bujumbura. This was a good opportunity to exchange with the young people of this city.
Four, in collaboration with Y Service Club Bujumbura, Hannah House Family distributed mosquito nets to women with small babies, pregnant women and old women in Gatumba camp. They were very happy because the mosquitoes threatened them and caused them malaria. Now that they have these mosquito nets is praise.
We thank everyone for the support for our sewing project, “WOMEN STAND UP”. We have received 5 sewing machines and they will be graduated next week, on March 11th.
Prayer request:
- We need Sunday school materials
- We need kids games materials for the event in August
- We need a porridge support for kids. The cost of one cup of porridge is $1
- We need other mosquito nets for GATUMBA Camp. The cost of one mosquito net is $4
- We need five sewing machines for the women who are finishing the training in sewing so they could start projects that can bring revenue to support their kids, indigent children, orphans and could also help them to back to school. The cost of one sewing machine is $250
